The boat has been conducting luxury private day and overnight charters in the Whitsundays since 2006, and the current owners built the boat to survey in the Maritimo factory, with 2 operational survey classes 1E (local waters) for 30 people (including crew) and 2C (offshore waters) for 12 passengers and 2 crew. Ocean Free is a Maritimo 60, with Maritimo's being renowned for quality boat building and the founder Bill Barry-Cotter is a renowned boat builder with over 60 years experience. Maritimo's are Australian designed and built, making them perfect for the Australian sea conditions.
Ocean Free has only had one owner since coming out of the factory. As a commercial vessel, the engines have been serviced every 250 hrs, and the vessel has been well maintained and cared for.
In 2018/2019 Ocean Free had a $1m refit including: full engine overhaul, a new generator, and the entire saloon refit with a modern design including Vintec wine fridges, a Seimens oven and cooktop along with Fisher and Pykal fridge drawers and dishwasher.
LOCATION:
Ocean Free is currently in the Ocean Dynamics Fleet. The business is a family owned and operated business, with many vessels currently in the fleet. Ocean Free is berthed at Daydream Island and also at Airlie Beach, at Port of Airlie marina depending on charter bookings.

The coastal town of Airlie Beach is the ideal base for fun and adventure in the Whitsundays. This vibrant town with its alfresco dining, lagoon, beaches and National Parks is 2 hours north of Mackay and 3 ½ hours south of Townsville. The area and its islands are a popular weekend getaway or relaxing holiday for both families and couples with direct flights available from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
